Mardi Gras

Most people do not really understand Mardi Gras. They think it is about drinking to excess and watching girls reveal their breasts. But it is not about that. At least not for us locals. We actually celebrate Mardi Gras like it is Christmas. Family from far away come home, we take off of work, we cook huge family meals. This is what Mardi Gras is about.
