Pictures from RCA Studio B

Beth and I recently visited Nashville on our way to Washington, D.C., and Virginia. While we passed through, we saw Jared Lawrie, who works as a shop tech for Clair bros., and also got to go see RCA studio B, which is where Elvis, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and many others recorded many records. Here are some pictures from the visit.

This is some sort of impedance switching device (?). I really like the way the knobs look.

These are microphone stands. Notice how thick the bases are, and all of the stands have articulated booms, to position mics in out of the way places.
This is a two way crossover which belongs to the speaker underneath. The speaker is really cool because it has the look of something that was handmade, not factory produced.
